Great rope, but not ideal for canyons
Pros: the rope has excellent feel, it handled smoothly without twists in all the friction devices we tried. The color is gorgeous, and our middle mark shows up in striking contrast for high visibility. Cons: compared to any other canyon rope I’ve tried, this one has by far the most stretch. While this is a mild annoyance to a more experienced canyoneer who can account for stretch and ascend more easily, a newer canyoneer would have a struggle ascending this rope for any significant distance. Neutral, depending on your preference and skill level: this rope has very little friction when compared to other canyon ropes, so if you’re small (like me) and often find yourself with too much friction despite using the lowest friction mode on your device, this is a welcome change. If you’re a larger human (like most people I take into canyons), this could have pretty severe consequences if you were not anticipating this difference and competent with adding friction mid-rappel. Overall impression: not my ideal rope for canyon applications- especially longer rappels- but quality construction and decent price point.
