Light and sturdy

So far I’ve had a great experience. Easy to assemble & reverse while hiking when it turns to scrambling. They do great rock hopping with good grip & putting full weight on down steps they seem very sturdy & they are so lightweight & compact especially being an adjustable trek pole.

Sturdy and Light

Probably should have thought a little harder about whether folding or telescoping was more appropriate for my purposes.

lightweight and affordable

These poles are very lightweight, as sturdy as any carbon pole, and surprisingly affordable. Finding carbon poles with adjustability that is achieved by a strong-enough mechanism can be tough. The "flick-lock" mechanism on the upper section of these seems to work well and hold fast, while the Z-pole lower section means absolute length-rigidity on the lower section when holding weight downward but still with the ability to fold the poles into a very short, compact package when not in use. That combination of adjustable cam on top and folding-pole design on the bottom is perfect; you get adjustability (key for use with hiking-pole-dependent lightweight shelters) in a package that folds smaller and resists collapse better than any three-section pole with two adjustable cams. I haven't weighed these to compare exactly to other name brands with higher price tags, but I bet they're so close in final weight that these could reasonable go head-to-head with any high-end adjustable, collapsible poles costing twice as much.

Lightweight and Durable, Yet Inexpensive

These poles have checked all the boxes: they are lightweight, compact, durable, adjustable and easy to use. They have saved my knees on many a descent through the summer, from long-distance backpacking trips to rugged mountain trail runs. As someone who has had issues with the durability of more expensive poles, these seem to be just as durable for half the cost!

Great product, fast shipping

Great quality product at a great price. As many have mentioned, these are perfect for people in the 6 foot range. Sticks seem very sturdy when put together, have not buckled at all with my first use on a hike out in the rocky mountain national park. Really like that the item folds together for transporting and stowing in/on side of my bag. No concern about the interior cord getting damaged as it appears to be thickish metal wire encased in some sort of protective coating. Only issue i had was with the packaging and zip ties. It was a bit difficult to fit a blade to cut them and there were points where i was afraid i'd hit the inner cord. That didn't happen so it was fine but it was my only fear!

Exactly what I needed!

Expert Recommendation Content The Uinta trekking poles were perfect for our Guadalupe Peak summit! Compact, light and at an affordable price. We trained for the hike for several weeks and the Uintas held up well, were easy to adjust and small enough when collapsed to strap under a daypack. If you’re a casual to intermediate hiker looking for additional support on the trail - you should consider the Uintas.

Great trekking poles

I recently did a lot of bushwacking in Dolly Sods with these poles, and they held up great! Light and folds up small, just what I needed. I do use them on the shortest setting and I'm about 5'8", if I was shorter than this I would consider getting the telescoping version instead to get more of a length range.

Fantastic Poles

I put these poles through the wringer on the CT this summer. They held up like champs. These are the best trekking poles I've ever owned. My biggest concern was that I'd leave them in someone's car when I hitched, because I would've been lost without them! I highly recommend them. They are lightweight and really tough. I would buy them ten times over.

Great

2 Expert Recommendation Content I have put several hundred miles on these poles and they have treated me very well. They are sturdy, very easy to put together, and they are compact. I raced in the bogus basin 50km/50m and pack these out in my pack. During the hills I pulled them out and they help tremendously. during the flats and down hills, I collapse them and stored them with comfort. I recommend them to all my friends.

Great trekking poles!

2 Expert Recommendation Content Just finished a 24 mile hike in Utah and the poles worked great! Would recommend them to only planning to buy some. They break down small for travel which is a huge plus!

Lightweight, comfortable to use. I'm finding I'd like an option to set them a bit shorter than they can go but not a big deal.

Light But Fragile

I was really impressed by how lightweight these poles were. However, while I was traversing a talus field, I inadvertently placed the tip of the pole between two rocks and snapped it off with very little force. Based on their fragility, I would not recommend these for scrambling or more technical approaches. That said, given the price point and how light they are, I would recommend them for trail running or hiking while on even ground.

Great Affordable trifolds

The polls are fantastic. They perform as well as advertised. I do prefer to wear trekking gloves with these as the handles aren't quite comfortable enough for really long days of heavy use. My biggest complaint is that they are actually quite heavy for "carbon" poles. I didn't expect them to compare to higher end carbon poles, but they weigh about 25% more than my aluminum Grivel poles. Still, they do the job well and fold up to a small size. They seem to be plenty sturdy, which is ultimately what I care most about.

Great Customer Service, Good Pole

Recently took these poles on a backcountry 7 day hunt. These poles handled very well despite the extremely heavy load and steep terrain. While packing a bear out on the last day of the hunt I did break one of the poles. I send a picture to Liberty Mountain Brand and they sent me a new one. I will definitely keep buying products from this company and would recommend the poles to anyone.
