Great pad for those longer trips

I've used this pad many times mostly for longer trips in the car or when setting up camp for a long weekend somewhere. I even used this when deployed for about three months as a mattress topper to add a little extra cushion to the rock-hard beds. Great product good design. The only downside I see in it is the amount of time it takes to fully inflate, you have to give it about a full 24 hour period in order to get the full thickness to inflate.

Very Comfortable

It pains me to say but I’m my old age I’m now back at fire camp most nights. When I was a hotshot I would not have been caught dead with something like this. That being said man is this pad comfortable. I get a great nights sleep, it’s like being in my bed at home. I won’t be using anything else.

Nice Large and Thick Self Inflating Mattress

It has a nice soft fabric that is not slippery to make you slide off the pad. The dimensions fit my needs perfectly to fit into a Kodiak swag/bivy. I've used it on a cot and on the ground. It works great for both. I'm a side sleeper and it provides decent enough cushion for the shoulder. The valve design is novel and takes some getting used too. It's a butterfly type design that flips from inflate to deflate. I have not timed the self inflating feature but it does take some time. I open the valve several hours before using it and it inflates ok. A few times I had to blow it up manually because I didn't have time to let it self inflate. Most of my use was in 45 degree and above so I can't speak to the R value rating. I recommend taking a closer look at this if you can before buying. So far no issues with it but I'm a bit worried about how long it'll last. Overall so far it's worked well and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a large self inflating mattress.

Like sleeping at home

This matress pad is so comfortable! I love this thing so much that when our friends invite us over, but don't have space for everyone on beds, I always volunteer to sleep on the floor because I have this extra cozy sleeper! Stays inflated well. Keeps you warm from the cold ground. Easy to inflate. Takes a little effort to pack down, but definitely worth it. Obviously for car camping and NOT for backpacking or bikepacking.
