Good for hot and cold

These bottles are great and more functional than some others. You can use this for both hot and cold liquids, as many other bottles on the market these days only recommend cold beverages. I've put hot water with a tea bag in it, and it was too hot to drink when I went to drink it. If you plan an drinking it right away or within the first hour of filling your bottle, I recommend using a little bit cold water to bring it to a comfortable drinking temperature when filling. It will stay at that temperature or warm for hours. And if your preference is cold, it will keep ice cold drinks for hours, in the heat as well! There's no straw, and these are easy to clean when washing. I also like that the mouthpiece is completely covered by the lid, keeping it sanitary and not exposed to touching everything. Definitely recommend!

The Replacement

This is the water bottle I decided to purchase after losing my 88455 Stanley Vacuum Water Bottle. At the point of this review I've had it for about two months as my go to water bottle for travel. At first I was a bit worried about the leak proofing nature of the spring loaded lid, however not once has it failed me. The wire loop in the front to keep it closed is a nice touch, as well as the wire loop on the back which is great for attaching the bottle to the outside of the backpack. My only issue with this product is the freeze proofing. Leaving my old 88455 bottle in my truck in the winter over night didn't seem to freeze the water in the bottle as easily. I believe that the new lid is to blame, but it is far from a deal breaker.

Great for the car!
