Expert Recommendation Content The Front Runner Expander camping chair has been my go to camp chair since late 2019. Front Runner's innovate design puts the Expander chair well above the competition. From its super compact stowing profile, to its sturdy full sized chair features, you can't beat the Expander chair, in camp, at the park, the game, on the road and at home. Having exposed the chair to harsh elements; sand, dirt, rocks, snow etc, we've learned that keeping the Expander chair clean aids in its ability to fold into its collapsed package. Since the legs are "telescopic" keep grit & grime out is key to smooth operation.

Great quality

These are comfortable, easy to set up, and robust. The quality is top notch. My only complain is the cup holder isn’t that great to use.

Great and compact camp chair

I was looking for more compact yet comfortable camp chairs - something not as massive as a lounger or big bulky folding chair but more robust than my backpacking chairs. These are great, sturdy, and comfy. Lots of pockets for phone and beverages. They fold down very nicely and take up little space. Only downside is if a sandy area (eg desert) expectedly it gets in the joints and can make them hard to close but well well well worth it if you’re patient and that’s not a deal breaker!

My Favorite Chair

This chair is on the pricier side but well worth the money. Visually, it does not look comfortable, but I can assure you that looks can be deceiving. The "director" style chair is a very efficient design that does not lack comfort. The absolute best part is the way it packs up and stores. It takes up very minimal space and is easy to throw in the back of any vehicle without worrying. My only con would be using it in fine, sandy areas which can get into the chair legs.

Great chairs

These chairs are amazing, they are very light weight and have small footprint when it comes to taking up space even in their carrying bags. I have both the single and the double bags and they make it even easier to take these chairs places. You They are great at the weekend sporting events or relaxing at the park. The setup and take down are simple and easy with directions provided. While they are small and light weight they are still strong and comfortable enough for 220 lbs person. I would highly recommend these chairs, they are worth every penny of their price.

Not your average camp chair

The slim packable design is what originally had us interested but the comfort sold us. This chair around the campsite is known as the ‘director chair’ cause well it looks like a directors chair. The chair has side pockets that can hold a beverage, phone and snacks. Because if it’s packable side and no bulk you can keep this chair in your car at all times and pull it when you need to put your ski boots on or watching your kids soccer game.

Comfortable Chair

Very comfortable chair that packs down really nicely. It's not too heavy and doesn't take much space when packed up. The side pockets are not very large but work good enough for storing a few things. You can fit a 12 oz can in the cup holder but not much more. I would like for it to have included the carrying bag but I think it's still a good value. I've used it on two camping trips so far and it has worked out fine so far.

Best camp chair

Hands down the best camp chair. Excellently designed and built. You can tell that actual design and thought went into this product. I have 4 of these chairs, and they are all top tier. The chair collapses into a fairly small footprint which makes it easy for storage and transport. Lots of pockets including a well designed beverage holder are all located in easy to access and use locations along the chair arms. Not only do I use this as my main camp chair, it also works well as a seat for when I am paddle boarding and don’t feel like standing up. Ive been using my chairs for about 4 years now, and still no complaints or issues.
