Lightweight, moisture wicking. It's long and can be folded to use on my head or around my neck. I like the color because it's high vis. Id rather bring this than sunblock because it's not a consumable, doesn't make me sticky and it is multiuse (towel, neck gaiter, hair bonnet).

This has been possibly my favorite new piece of gear this year. It's not sparkly and while the colors are great it doesn't look impressive compared to all the gear we typically like to geek out about. However, these ActiveIce Ubertubes are an literal life-changer. I deal with a lot of health issues that lead to extreme heat intolerance, causing vomiting, loss of consciousness, migraines, and loss of vision. Unless I'm going hiking at 5 in the morning, really summer hiking is just not on the table. I can not believe how much these have changed things. Every time I start feeling sick, I just snap the Ubertube and have immediate relief. It feels SO good! I've tried a lot of products similar to this in the past and they've just not worked. At best they're *maybe* a little cooler but not much, and you have perpetual drips running down your shirt! My husband had me try his Ubertube on a hot hike early this spring- I came home and immediately ordered 3 for myself. My 71 year old mother who is an avid hiker has been in the same boat regarding heat intolerance- she borrowed one of mine on a hike when she started getting sick- immediate relief for her too and finished out the whole hike in comfort! Even if you just don't like feeling hot and miserable- (who does?) I think this is a must. I can't wait to try this out on miserable, sticky, humid, hot, tent nights!

The technology is actually really cool! in a quite literal sense. The fabric when wet feels really cool and even when dry, your own sweat would be enough to get that wet/cool feeling. I've never had a piece of clothing like this. Very happy with my purchase.

I use this to keep my hair in check but it's cool enough to use it as a face shield or neck gator in the sweltering Georgia heat.

I need this as a bald guy. It works a lot better than expected. Drys very quick and does it’s job to protect against the sun.

I am a proud user of many Outdoor Research products, and when I came across the Ubertube I was intrigued. With COVID being ever-present, I have resorted to wearing a buff continuously so that I can quickly cover my face and other mask, and OR's Ubertube turns out to be the best of them that I've tried. Not only does it protect the face and neck, but is long enough to go over the head as well. It also works extremely well in the desert- I just wore it on a Rim to Rim to Rim hike in the Grand Canyon, and it worked perfectly at cooling and protecting sensitive skin during the day and heating the same areas at night. This is now a daily wear for me, and I will be picking up another as a spare.

I'm a big fan of face tubes and this product works as advertised. I have been wearing this and look forward to using in the heat. It's still a little chilly so I look forward to the cooling effect in warmer weather.
