“Go to” work booties

I wear these to work at my ski job and they keep my feet cozy before and after putting on my torture devices (ski boots). The only gripe I’ve had was getting them on the first month, as the cuff is long and narrow

Happy warm feet - worth the bulk

With notoriously cold feet, these are a dream at the end of the day. I purchased these to upgrade my much older OR booties for hut tours. Incredibly warm and comfortable with the memory foam footbed. The rubber outsole was awesome and held up to mixed floors, firewood and snow gathering trips outside. Downside? They are heavy with the rubber sole, but worth it for durability. If you are looking to keep your pack weight down, these aren't the lightest option but they will last for years.

Outdoor boys good!

These booties are clutch for rooftop tent camping! The rubber sole provides excellent grip, making it super easy and safe to climb up the ladder into the tent. They're incredibly warm too, which is perfect for chilly nights outdoors. Highly recommend for any rooftop camper looking for comfort and functionality!

OR Booties

These booties are incredibly warm. I use them for hanging around camp mostly and the sole holds up great. Cushion inside is very appealing especially after wearing your hiking boots all day.

Great bootys for before and after hitting the mountain. Small and light enough to throw into your summit bag and not have to worry about them. Highly recommend.

Down for Cozy Useles for Wet Surfaces

They don’t seem terribly waterproof, I feel like they should have a resistance coating or something of that sort. Otherwise warm for indoor use and are stellar for cozy chill nights.

Warmth, Comfort, and Outsole Grip

These booties do exactly what you want them to do. They keep your feet warm, are comfortable, and the outsole has enough grip to keep me from slipping on wet ground or compacted snow. As they are down slippers/booties, the upper doesn't have much structure, but that is to be expected with this product. If you are looking for something comfortable to lounge in and use to walk around outdoors, these are absolutely great! I highly recommend.

The perfect slipper

Have you ever thought to yourself that when you got tired you wished there was a memory foam cloud to rest on all while being swaddled in the most fluffy, supple, warm, puffy blanket? That is these boots. But for your feet… these are amazing! I can’t say it enough. I wear these after backcountry skiing, however I have since extended my wear of them to while working at home, and to the climbing gym. I’m literally obsessed.

Daily Dog Walkers - Super comfy and toasty!

Super easy to take on and off. I appreciate that they go up above the ankle to crew length. You can tuck pants over or inside of these. The sole has solid grip on tough conditions.

Awesome!

I love these for lounging around the house or hunting camp! (I wear them everyday when I’m working from home.) I’ve had the tundra aerogel socks for a couple years and loved them they are super packable and light weight but they were lacking durability because of the lack of a rubber sole. (I still keep a pair stuffed into my pack for back country hunts) These are great for lounging around the house, hunting lodge, or campsite! They’re a bit heavier and warmer than the sock version, I definitely wouldn’t pack them into the back country, but they’re perfect for when you get back to base camp and pull off your boots. (Make sure to check the size guide, the aero gel socks and the tundra trax booties have different sizing, I’m a size 12 and I wear the size Large in the booties and XL in the aerogel socks.)

Descent Booties

I am a big fan of Outdoor Research. Their products are top notch. The Tundra Trax are really hard to put on when you have socks on espaecially when they are thick (the idea is to wear them with thick socks when you are out in extreme outdoor cold). I bought the Tundra Trax to use on my trek to climb Kilimanjaro in early March of 2025. My initial tests have been challenging to put on the booties. The openning needs to be wider. The break-in period for the booties has been unpleasant. I will update my review after my trip.

Foot Hot Tub for the Drive Home

These things are obviously a nonessential luxury item, but hey, so is skiing. Normally when I get to the car I just throw on running shoes or a pair of XtraTuffs if the weather is bad. After trying these I’m never going back. After a long tour or day in the resort my feet are often sore and taking them out of ski boots to put them in something tight again isn’t great. These booties give your feet a chance to breathe but also stay warm, just the thing you need for rapid recovery. Plus, they’re great for going back and forth between the hut and the woodshed on multi day trips.

Cozy Booties for Winter Fun

These booties have been a wonderful addition to utilize when transitioning out of my ski boots and not wanting to jump straight into a pair of winter boots. I enjoy them especially in our truck camper for keeping my feet warm during the winter. They are light compress down easily to square them away as you see fit. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they can be a bit of a bear to get on and in doing so you often times accidentally pull the elastic cord that tightens them around your ankle. A small gripe that I've learned to work around.

These are worth their weight in gold for me

I have used these about 5 times now and they have kept my feet very warm in stationary conditions. This is quite hard to do so these must be very warm. I have already recommended these to many people and will continue to do so. Anyone who will be outside during cold weather would get lots of use out of these. Even inside they make great slippers. The bottoms are harder than you may think and actually are good enough to walk around in outside.

I’m a 11.5/12 men’s shoe and the Large size fits me fine. When the boots first arrived I noticed that one of the boots was missing an insole. So I emailed expert voice customer service and within 4hrs they had a 2nd set shipped to me and I didn’t even have to return the first pair. Love that. Then for the boots. They’re comfortable, warm and pack down pretty small. I like that they have a solid rubber bottom and a rubber waterproof membrane around the bottom edge of the boot to prevent some damage to the down from sticks and things on the ground. Why I’m giving them 4 stars though, you won’t be slipping these on quickly like slippers. You have to sit down and or use a hand or two to get them on because there is no structure to them the body of the boot. Also, with larger feet, the entrance of the boot is kind of tight to get a foot through. I would love the see OR update these with a V-notch or relief opening of some sort at the back of the boot to help slip your foot in. Still a comfortable and warm boot that I’m actually wearing as I write this!

the booties are warm and comfortable. I have worn them around the house and some outdoor. i got these for easy slip on during the winter for going to the gym so my shoes stay dry. they aren't the easiest to slip on. I wear an 11 and the M when I have socks on feel a bit tight.

Great booties!

The product is comfortable, light weight and durable, everything I look for in footwear. These are a must have around the camp site and I often use them for short trips outside around my house. The soles are very comfortable and are snug around the foot without being hard to get on and off.

Perfect Camp Shoes

Used these in Death Valley National Park for my camp shoes after long backpacking days, they have soft insoles but sturdy bottoms that I could wear them around camp without worrying about puncturing on a rock. They are quite waterproof as well which is a bonus I wasn't expecting. Only downside compared to other down boots is because of the solid rubber sole they don't pack down as small but still a great purchase.

Great product but go a size up

the only reason it did not get 4 stars is that I went with the size recommendation on the OR website and they are a bit small and difficult to get on. I do have high arches and that seems to be part of the issue. But consider a size up.

Cozy and surprisingly durable

The only reason I’m giving these an 8 is because the elastic band that tightens the top of the shoe has already blown out on one of them. Other than that they are comfortable and very warm.

Cozy

The ankle is a bit tight when slipping my foot in, and the insole is pretty thin, but they are super warm and I love wearing them around in the cold. Taking them on a hit trip at 11,500’ soon so that’ll be a great test.

I like the warmth that it provides. Nice cushion inside with good draw string around the ankle. Check you size before ordering since they run big but if you were think socks, it should be good. Used it around the house and loved it.
