I have a Big Agnes Q-Core Deluxe camping pad. I also have a 4" full size Intex inflatable mattress. My favorite feature of this "pump" is how quiet it is. One of my least favorite part of camping in a campground is unnecessary noise from other camp users. Once I noticed how loud some camp setup processes are, I tried to find ways to lessen the noise I make while also making camp setup faster. The pumphouse accomplishes both of these goals. It does take longer than an electric pump (not much longer) and is WAY quieter. I enjoy this even when dispersed camping where I have no camp neighbors.

Lightweight and functional

The pump house ultra does exactly what it advertises. Blowing up my sleeping pad take a fraction of the time it did with the pump sack that came with my pad. Although I wish I didn't have to buy a new sack the multifunctional usability of this product makes it worth it. Although I probably wouldn't float the pumphouse ultra behind me while kayaking I do trust its waterproofing enough to put my clothes and other soft goods in while I'm backpacking. Sometimes I worry that I will tear the pumphouse while inflating my pad but I haven't done that yet so that worry is unfounded thus far.

Game changer

The Pumphouse Ultra has been an absolute game-changer for me because of its compatibility with older style Klymit inflation valves. It seamlessly connects, allowing me to inflate the pad without needing any modifications or adapters, plus it's quiet compared to electric pumps. That kind of versatility makes it a solid choice for anyone with a mixed gear collection. I'm using the pumphouse ultra as the permanent compression sack for my sleeping bag so it's doing three jobs any time I carry it (compression sack, dry bag and inflation device). Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with this product. It’s reliable, efficient, and a must-have for those looking to simplify their camp setup while ensuring their gear stays in top shape. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a smarter way to inflate their sleeping pad!

Inflating air mattresses got easier!

Well, they say you don't backpack with anything that doesn't have more than one use, so here it is! This inflating pump bag doubled as a dry bag for my two week hike in the Sierras. Kept my sleep system dry when I fell in two rivers, and some of my clothing. Inflates my insulated air core in 3-4 pumps. Super light weight and useful for two things, it's a no-brainer to bring this along!

When trying to shave weight with backpacking, having an item that can be used for several things is worth its weight in gold! I used it for my clothing bag, the obvious use as a pump sack, and a pillow with some of my clothes in the sack. After sealing the bag up at the roll top with my clothes, I open the sleeping pad attachment plug and squeeze out the air almost like temporary vacuum bag to keep it compressed while packing my pack. It isn’t perfectly airtight, but this made it easy to keep any microfleece or puffy compressed long enough to get it stuffed in my pack easier. The Pumphouse has an attached inner sleeve that doubles the length of the sack itself, around 3ft long, awesome for filling a sleeping pad in a few “pumps!” The fabric is light compared to the pump sack that came with my Boundary Deluxe pad, so refilling the Pumphouse with each successive pump was easy, a quick puff of air from your mouth while holding the sack open fills the Pumphouse up pretty well. Overall great product, every sleeping pad should come with one of these. I don’t own the lightest Big Agnes sleeping pad out there, but I try to save weight where I can, and this fit the bill.

Essential accessory

It’s ultralight, it’s multifunctional, it’s a breath saver. I knew I didn’t want to introduce moisture into the sleeping pads by blowing into it, so this was the fix. I was really skeptical about its durability and constantly worried about ripping a hole into it while pumping, rolling, and just general abrasions while in use, but honestly, it’s held up really well over the past 5+ years, so at this point I don’t bother babying it anymore. It’s a gem and I have zero regrets.

Cuts inflation time down dramatically

This pump works well because it's so long and opens up wide so you can blow a crap ton of air into it. You don't put your lips against it, you open it up wide and blow into it. Your breath draws the surrounding air into it to fill with one breath. What you see in the pic, is only about half, because the other half pulls out. I'm 6ft and can inflate this while standing and lean down to force the air into my pad and the pad blows up nice and tight. I like that it can be used for several things although I've used it only for inflating my pad.

This is a must-have for pump sack style pads!

The BA pads come with a great pump sack, but this one gets the job done in half the time. It took me five full sacks of air to fill the pad. Five! Took about three minutes. I couldn’t believe it! It was so light and easy to maneuver. The Pumphouse Ultra can double as a dry sack, too; or a laundry bag; or pillow. I love this thing!

Fast and reliable inflation for your Big Agnes sleeping pad

I've used the Pumphouse Ultra pump bag extensively on camping and backpacking trips to inflate Rapide SL sleeping mattress. It works extremely well and reduces time for inflation vs. the bag that came with my sleeping pad. It also serves as a compression sack and is large enough to store your sleeping bag or quilt, sleeping pad and inflatable pillow. If you are using a Big Agnes air mattress and value having more time to enjoy on the trail then this is for you.

Great Product!

This bag was an absolute life saver. The fact that one piece of gear can be your waterproof stuff sack and can also inflate your sleep mattress is insane. I used this on the Colorado Trail and had no issues with it. Now I use it to keep my shirts and socks dry in my Army rucksack. I have been in some crazy wet environments and this has been an absolute lifesaver. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like the neon green color, but I almost left this behind once and only saw it because of the color. Also is impossible to lose in the night.

Necessary to get due to inadequacy of the bag that comes with a big agnes mattress.

I think it could have easily benefited from being slightly larger. You can use this as a stuff sack for stuff like extra stinky clothes so there's no reason for it not to be slightly bigger. I have a Kelty mattress for car camping which comes with a huge bag I can pump a 4" lofted queen mattress using the weight of my knee. This takes about 5 bag fulls to get it perfect. This smaller bag is tougher to fill up and is quite a bit less volume so it took maybe 10-15 bags to fill the full size ultralight mattress I bought with it.

Save your breath

Within a couple minutes the pumphouse will have two air pads filled. Taking out the need to get light headed trying to pump up a sleeping pad by blowing into it. Super light weight and doubles as a water-resistant bag. (make sure the plug is on tight though... it's literally a hole in the bag serving as a connection point). This is a great multi purpose item for those looking to keep it simple. Kudos for thinking this one up Big Agnes.

Excellent gear for higher altitudes and low temperatures. I spend a lot of time hiking through the Sierras and the Rockies. I’ve suffered at night in the mountains after blowing up a sleeping pad and then having the moisture from my breath freeze inside the pad. Since I purchased this pump I’ve had had to worry about it again. This pump packs into your sleeping bag stuff sack and weighs next to nothing. Definitely worth the purchase and something you should take whenever you go up in elevation.

Awesome multi-use piece of gear

Ive used this product on a few camping trips now to inflate my Big Agnes Q-Core SLX sleeping pad, and its made my life so much easier and my camping trips so much more enjoyable. Instead of 20+ breaths to inflate my pad, this does it in 4 pumps. It also works as a dry-bag, so its zero extra weight to carry since I would have brought a dry-bag in its place anyway. I haven't tried using it as a camp shower yet, but with the build of it im confident that whenever I need to use it for that it'll have no problem. Definitely has become an absolutely essential piece of gear anytime I'm camping or backpacking with an inflatable sleeping pad.

Smart Design

I keep my Insulated Air Core Ultra inside of this dry sac and I always get compliments from friends on how convenient it is saving the space not having to bring a pump. At first the girlfriend laughed and said it would take forever to pump up the mattress but it filled up with air a lot faster than both of us thought.

Must Have Item

If you have a Big Agnes pad, this bag is a must have item. With only a few light breaths of air, you can fill up your pad. Plus, the bag can be used as a dry bag for personal items. I use it for my phone charger, sleeping socks/bootys and hat, pillow, ear buds, etc. When using as a dry bag, just lock the top and then open the plug to get the air out. When using to air up your pad, just connect to your pad and then lightly blow air into the bag and then wrap the top shut as you push the air into your pad.

Game changer! So easy to blow up my sleeping mats now and I really like resting easy that I'm not contributing to getting moisture in them that I can't get out. I also bought the big agnes girdle to use this as a compression sack for clothes in my backpack. It would be waterproof too for paddle boarding or other such activities. Great lil piece of gear all around :) It's really light, I know there is a lighter one available too, but you'd have to be *really* into shaving ounces if that was going to be a consideration. Very happy with this product.

Haven't used all the functions

I bought this pump to help blow up my Big Agnus SLX tent floor 2 person sleeping pad. It works like a charm. After only 10 bags, my pad is full and I didn't have to get light headed or exhaust myself blowing it up, and it takes under 5 min to blow up. It works great as a stuff-sack and allows you to let the air out as you roll it tight. I have not found a complaint yet.

Multipurpose = rockstar performance

The combination of an air pump and a stuff sack is quite ingenious. Camping at 10000+ ft it's nice to save the lungs. Has a pump it works great once you get the hang of it. The inner lining comes out to increase the volume making the pump work quite quickly. The sack is also supposed to triple as a shower bag. One cheap modification I would make to the design is add a small plastic screen to the port to slow the flow of water and create a shower head effect when using it as a shower... The 1 inch hole simply let's water out too quickly.

Wow thats light

This is a really, really, really lightweight and tiny way to save your lungs. This ultralight pump really is only good for pumping up your pad. If you want a drybag/shower/pump then get the cheaper and slightly heaver one. Don't get a big agnus bag without one of these pumps. It makes a HUGE difference to inflating. There is a trick to puff just a little bit of air into the bag then close it. This induces the air around the bag's opening to flow into it. If you get it right a tiny puff of your breath will fill the bag!

After a day of backpacking, the last thing you want to do is spend time blowing up your sleeping pad. Especially, if you’re in high altitude. The Pumphouse Ultra has an inner liner that helps you capture a full bag of air and can get my pad inflated as fast as 6 pumps. Plus, it doubles as a nice pillow or stuff sack.

Great idea and works really well. If you have a BA pad, you need this. Way better than blowing it up. It is also a great stuff sack. Just don’t put your sleeping bag in it. I made that mistake the first time I used it backpacking. We had a lot of rain, so i didn’t want to get the sleeping bag out yet, but was forced to because I needed to use the inflation feature. FYI, the nozzle will also fit Nemo pads just fine, even though they are a totally different design.

No-brainer for backpackers and climber camps

The Pumphouse Ultra is a fantastic gadget that goes well beyond the typical camping comfort item. After a long day of touring or climbing to a base camp, it's great to be able to easily inflate a pad without carrying the weight of a typical mattress pump. The efficiency of the pump and it's minimal weight alone make this product worth purchasing, but what I really love is that it doubles as a stuff/dry sack (and shower). This versatility makes it great for any use but specifically applications where there is a premium on weight reduction. The only reason I did not give it a 10/10 was that I have not been able to test out the dry bag/shower functionality just yet. Big Agnes crushes it again!
