Rock solid hiker. The no tongue design is nice and the laces the length of the shoe keep them snug.

Gave 9 on recommending -I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and rugged hiker. It has as much ankle supports as most hikers but not for someone looking for a lot of ankle support. 5 stars cause it's well built and needed no break in. 1st hike went 2 miles felt so good went 3 more w/ no blister or sore spots. I will definitely wear these pronghorn and upland hunting. I could even see me wearing these on overnight light backpack trips. The rugged construction feels like they are built to last, I expect to have these for years to come.

My favorite shoe ever

3 Expert Recommendation Content Amazingly comfortable and durable. Only one (brutal) season of hiking and hunting so far, but they seem to be holding up extremely well. Even the laces and insole are still in great shape. Very waterproof, awesome traction. Technical enough to basically rock climb, comfy enough to wear while walking the dog. It’s the best shoe I have ever had.

Well built

Well built and comfortable shoe. Perhaps a little narrow for someone with wider feet. Shoe is comfortable for everyday and can be cinched up well for cruising up or down hill. For sidehill hiking this shoe lacks in ankle support but can probably be expected due to the lower profile. I purchased for early season elk hunts and wanted a light comfortable waterproof shoe. So far so good.

OK for hiking

I've had it replaced once under warranty but it held up alright for a full season of hiking. The stitches would come off pretty easy otherwise it's very comfortable.

Light, GoreTex, No slip sole

After my last pair of Zamberlain boots didn't fit perfectly, I decided to go back to lace-up waterproof low tops. Perfectly satisfied now.
