ive been loving these. On my 3rd or 4th pair now. Living in a mountain town and walk a lot. Get out on hiking/backpacking trips in the summer and love having a boot that works for it all. I keep them loose mostly and just slip on/off, which works well with the way the tongue etc is on this. If I'm doing a more serious trail or carrying a heavy pack, etc. then I snug them up. the only cons I would say is I wish the soles would last longer but then I do use them a lot in the summer. They work well in the snow too.. but I use a lot of other types of footwear in a typical winter.. ie: winter boots, ski boots, nordic ski boots, etc. I've tried both but have come to prefer the non gortex version.. as is still quite water repellent but dries much quicker, has better ventilation, etc.
