I have never wore a boot that I didn’t have a nit pick or two. The heel is a smidge wide and the boots are a half size larger than most of the competitors I use. Overall this is a great comfortable boot, long wearing, with enough support for an average hunt in 7-9,000 ft elevations with minimum to slight rocky terrain. The extra flexibility allowed me to wear them while stalking extremely close to a bedded Mule deer buck, feeling several sticks under foot during my approach. The 226 Salathe is well worth the price.
