Great boot. On the narrow side and seems to be slightly squeaky.

I don't wear these boots as often as I do my other pair, because I like them more. Great for moderate terrain, comfortable to hike in all day. One drawback to wearing these in the south-eastern US is that the bottom eyelets at the front of the boot, over the toe-box, compressed the material around the toe-bow, and part of it pops up. This is the perfect little lip for lots of vines to grab onto. Kills your hip flexors two hours into a ten hour day. Locks your heel well if you get creative with your lacing. I'd buy them again, but I would get a different insole in there to add some volume to the bottom of the boot to help fill that gap that causes the lip popping issue.

These have been tough to break-in for me, but I think I’m about there. I’ve never had to break-in another pair of boots before hiking in rough country. I foolishly went with what I’ve always done in the past and was left with blisters on my heels after a quick out and back hike with only around 1000’ elevation gain. They are getting more and more comfortable each time I wear them, but still not sure if I trust them on a backcountry hunt as my only boot option. This all happened with a nice set of insoles in them as well. They are waterproof and extremely light and for what it’s worth, my hunting buddy has the same boots and is on his 2nd pair with zero issues and zero pain.

Where did the time go? Well, I can tell you that these have seen some miles across the world in all sorts of terrain, from the local desert here in Las Vegas to the Colorado mountains, Norway, and the other four Scandinavian countries. Amazingly, there are only minor scuffs, and they are extremely comfortable, from cruising on concrete to navigating granite rocks and carrying heavy packs. I thought they would be nearing the end of their life after 3 years, as other brands have, but they are closer to new than worn out. I say buy them, and unless they don't fit you right, as everyone's feet are a little different, you just hit the jackpot.

My first hunt this year I went out on a five day mountain hunt for elk. I walked through rain, snow, and sunshine. My feet stayed dry and felt great. We climbed a lot of mountains and the boots did not disappoint. My only complaint was that I was able to try the boots on in a store but the only size they had was an 11. My toes touched the end of the boot. I decided to order the same boot in a size 12. These where the only boots I had to hunt with so I didn’t have time to send them back. The twelves feel two sizes to big. In the length and the width. I will sell these locally and purchase another pair in an 11.5.

After looking at Manny different Brands I chose this Zamberlan because I could trust where the boot was being made and the quality of the Materials. Easy break-in, sturdy construction and they provided proper size instructions for a good fit. My kids are avid mountain hunters and will only wear Zamberlan Boots. It took only one pair to make me a believer. Yes they have 1/2 sizes and Yes they are true Italian made Products.

I was looking for a rigid hunting boot that is light and breathable yet provides support for long hikes and heavy packouts. The boot does not take long to break in and I can tell it will be comfortable for many miles to come. This boot checks all the boxes for me and I would highly recommend.

These are a great early season to late season hunting boot. Stiff enough for rough terrain yet comfortable for everyday use. Have carried 80# loads with great traction and stability on some steep grades. I usually wear a size US12, but had to go down to a US11 (even though my Zamberlan 980 Outfitters fit perfect at US12). There is more room in the toebox compared to other European style boots. I've had them a year and see them lasting a very long time.

This boot fits a little narrow but it has great feel off trail and on ledgy sidehills. I've spent 30 days in these boots and they were comfortable from the start, relatively light and held up pretty well. After lots of scree and rocky terrain they have held up really decent. I appreciated the support and feel of these boots, very similiar to my Lowa Tibets. I prefer a stiff sole and side support when on sidehill or edging into soft materials. I've carried 100lb packs with these and had good results.

Light and supportive in the right areas. During the break in period the boot feels stiff but comfortable. I took it right out of the box and into the field. Hiked 20 miles in two days. No hot spots, but there was some bruising around the cuff. After breaking in the boot it feels great. Very light in comparison to other boots I have owned. I wear a size 9 to a 9.5. I ordered the 9 and it fits perfectly.

I have worn these boots on several hikes and hunting trips in the last year. Has several reviews have stated there was little to no break in time. I’ve had zero issues with blisters and hot spots. Just be cautious that these boots run a little bigger than other brands. When I had my feet measured these boots fit, according to the measurement.

Right out of the box, you can see the quality of craftsmanship. The boots are lightweight, moderate stiffness, and took very little time to break-in. I was concerned about the boot being too narrow, but in fact it’s perfect. Snug around the heel and through the arch, but then more room in the toe-box.

Light, Comfortable, Durable. I wear these boots daily and walk in them on and off pavement. They are light and stand up to a lot of punishment. They are my daily boots and I couldn’t be happier. They don’t have a stiff shank, so right out the box they are easy to walk on and feel like slippers. The ware on them has been great so far and I see them doing great for months to come! Highly recommend!

These boots are well built and sturdy. Used for mild hunting conditions in all types of weather. Feet did not get wet, heavy rain and light snow, paired with gaiters in marshy conditions. Laces held their position and came with two different colors. No issues using with saddle or climbing sticks. Even though they are not insulated, feet stayed warm in 20 degree weather. Fantastic boot for the price.

I purchased this boot for hiking and hunting Arizona. First day of use I put in over 10 miles and not a single issue. No blisters, no chafing. Over the next few days I put a total of 35 miles on them and still no issues. They handled the rough, sharp rocky terrain with ease. Feet stayed dry and comfortable the entire time.

Well made boot that is a little stiffer than my Lynx Mid GTX boots. I have a narrow foot and these ran a little wide for me so I wear an extra sock. Great boot. I have been really impressed with Zamberlan quality, so much that I have stopped using Lowe and gone to Zamberlan exclusively.

I would have given a 5 star but I found the boots ran large and were taller then I realized. I came from wearing an asolo fugitive GTX and wanted to try something different because my last pair didn’t last as long as my first pair of fugitives. I have been very happy about the build quality of my new zamberlins and think they will last a long time. I only wish the baltoros came in brown.

I bought these as a medium duty boot for backpacking on steep rugged trails and light mountain scrambles. So far they fit well, provide great comfort and support, are stiff enough for dealing with rocks and roots, and are so darned lightweight! Haven't tried them with crampons yet, but they should do fine if you're not climbing Denali or Annapurna.

Hiked the Grand Canyon. Great supportive boot. Held the kids gear and my own in a heavy pack. Will be excellent this Elk season. Worked great recovering gear from a mule that fell off the canyon.

These are easily the lightest pair of boots I’ve owned. I’ve also never had this great of support. I haven’t packed out a heavy load yet but am sure these will hold up very well.

I bought these boots to replace an older pair of heavier boots that had finally given up after years of hard use. The Baltoros worked very well in a variety of conditions from hot and dry to soaking wet all while being markedly lighter than any other boot I've had a chance to use.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Run big so I had to buy one size smaller than my normal shoe size. Wore them immediately on a weekend turkey hunt and my feet stayed dry and no blisters or worn out feet after about 15 miles of hiking up and down ridges

Great lightweight hiking boot. Hiked with 30lbs. Didn't get an elk so not sure how they would do with a pack out. I think they would perform though. Put about 150 miles on them this year. Very comfortable!

Love the comfort of fit on how the boot feels and the toebox! I use em hunting and are no problem getting in and out of the tree saddle but are also perfect for bushwhack hiking into the woodsto get to my spots.
