Might be the best boot I've ever worn

2 Completely blown away by the comfort of these boots. They had great support up through the ankle. The zip up sides made them easy to slip off after a long day. But where they really shined for me was the all day comfort. I have bulging disks in my lower back which can make a long day even longer when you're on your feet all day but these might honestly be the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. If I had to give any criticism, I would say that I think it would go a long ways to make the colors a little better. Make the khaki a darker brown and maybe throw in an OD or Olive green.

Darn good boot

As a patrolman these boots are my new go to. I was in these boots primarily in a patrol vehicle. Sitting in a vehicle with tactical boots will tell you how comfortable they can be. I have experience no discomfort other than the first 3 days. The first 3 days in these boots gave me some sore ankles at the tops of the boots. Day 4 no more problems. These boots became very comfortable and definitely supported my ankles in some uneven terrain. I work 3 days of details that pushed me 8 to 11 miles of foot patrol each day. I was on concrete, heavily trafficked grass and some uneven loose rodeo grounds. They gave me plenty of traction when I had to run and stand on some interesting landscapes. They go one easy at the start of the day and come off easy at the end of the day with the side zips. I replaced my Merrells with these boots and will likely wear them out before i put those back on. Great Boot

Normally in the past I've worn 5.11 boots due to the style and comfort. Was able to try out Garmont Contact and its been great. The boot fits my feet true to size and they feel comfortable after a 12 hour shift. The waterproofing kept my feet dry in the rain but not overly hot during the summer. Haven't been able to test the traction in the Chicago winter with the ice and snow but so far with the summer conditions they've been great. Don't think I'll be able to go back to 5.11s after using this brand.

I highly recommend these boots. I have been in the law enforcement sector for over 20 years and I have been through boots. My environment is mostly urban, but the boots have held up against anything I have thrown at them so far. I have previously worn zipper models from sunder Armour and I prefer the zipper set up on this shoe. With other brands the whole side collapses to get your foot in. With this shoe the side just opens. It makes a convenient option, even more convenient. The traction has performed well so far, I haven’t worked with them in rain yet, but have handled wet flooring without issues. Fit is true to size and plenty of room in toe box. I have worn the shoes 40+ hours a week for the past couple of weeks in patrol environment. Overall, these have been a solid set of boots. They are looking like they will be more durable than other models I have worn in the past. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Slick boot that’s up to the task

All my overtime hours never felt so good! Truly, not an exaggeration. I had only heard of garmont boots from a co worker days before seeing an opportunity to test a pair. So it was pretty cool to get selected. I work in a federal prison where being on your feet for long hours and many steps is normal. I found the Garmont Contact boots that were sent to me to be comfortable and good looking with my uniform. The foot bed had a nice amount of cushion and these boots seemed to breath and keep my feet cool. As far as traction is concerned, I would say these boots have good grip especially on the waxed floors where I work and run when responding to incidents. Rounding corners and coming to quick stops and takeoffs were no concern. The boots are really well made and fully expect to get long term use out of them and when the time comes to replace them, I’ll likely get another pair of the Garmont contact side zips. Getting home or leaving for work was faster thanks to not having to fully lace or unlace. And after a long shift I’m always in a hurry to air out my feet. I’ve always worn the old tried and true popular boots, but I’m really glad I was given this chance, because beyond the generosity to send a pair for me to test these boots actually have won me over.
