Take a kid hunting

Expert Recommendation Content Started taking the kids hunting a few years back. Tried several different stabilizers for them to use. This one checked all the boxes. It keeps the firearm level, adjustable with little pressure. Biggest win is it takes the weight off the shooter. That way we can use a heavier gun less felt recoil, plus we add a phone scope to it. The price point on this one for a younger shooter is spot on. I miss it when hunting solo.

Great Tripod for a Stationary Hunt

I've used the Bog FieldPod for several successful whitetail deer hunts in the midwest. My younger kids have shot several deer with shotguns and muzzleloaders off of it. It's fantastic for a static hunt. It's adjustable enough to handle any rife-sized weapon and is great for sitting on the ground up to chair height. It is bulky and I would not want to pack it with me if I was walking around all day. Bog has other tripods for that!
