Excellent entry into shooting tripods

2 Expert Recommendation Content 4 stars (great) rating for the awesome sturdy light weight legs. The lock collars are top notch and easy to use, and the saddle is very utilitarian and lets you use the tripod for everything without needing to buy arca plates. Speaking of, the biggest plus to this tripod over the base model is the ability to use arca out of the box. Now to address the lost star. That is in the factory provided head unit. Its very spartan and lackluster, a proper ballhead makes this tripod 1000x better. There are several options on the market where you can convert to a proper ballhead for not much money, and I highly recomend you do. I used the Zero Fox Given conversion kit with a Dlow-55 ballhead. This tripod is beyond killer now and I see no need to upgrade from here. Youll see its the head on it in my picture

Always with me.

Bought this after wanting to have a more stable shooting platform while hunting the big ranges central Washington, and this quickly became something I made sure I didn't leave at home. Whether it's another hunt, just glassing an area during a scout, or the range this has been fairly indispensable. Grabbed the carbon version for the weight reduction for packing in and out and that's been great. My caviat is the head itself I love the idea but it could use some work. My buddy ended up getting an aftermarket for his and I have followed. Altogether I like the control placement and the ease of use but the ball head itself could use some improvement. Definitely prefer this to other tripods I've seen price vs quality I think this does well and I'd recommend easily for my customers who are looking into getting one.
