the feel I was looking for

As a long time clipless rider but returning to MTB after a hiatus i still love the feel of being clipped in but still want to push myself on the newer bikes and terrain . this was the feel i was after. I gave this a 7 as i am sure this is not for everyone and i have 2 minor issues in that the directions were not as clear as i would have appreciated and i can't quite get the left pedal to release on par with the right one which is flawless. regardless a well made and unique design i will continue to ride a tweak. possibly just need a cleat change.

Takes a licking and keeps me kicking

Mud, sand, sticks and heavy use never stop these pedals from working. They are easy to clip into no matter what the conditions are. The larger platform allow you to ride technical sections un-cliped for a quick exit if needed. I have rocked these for years and still will. If your a beginner, get them, if your an expert, switch, you wont regreat it.

These pedals are extremely tight out of the box. There is a good amount of foot purchase even when not clipped in, but when clipped and the traction studs fully raised, it is difficult and dangerous to quickly get out of these pedals. Great for the fully committed clipless rider who wants a bigger feeling pedal underfoot.

Super Durable and long Lasting!

Super Durable and long Lasting! after getting almost 8yrs out of my last set of Mallets I deceided to upgrade to these and have not been disappointed!! Super Durable, Easy to get in and out of and I nice Platform for when I need to unclip and still stayt on the pedals!! Great for intermediate to Expert!

Best pedals I have used. The platform and cleat interface are easy to use and very secure. All of the benefits of a clipless pedal system with no foreseeable hindrances. The pinned platform is an amazing feature, allowing you to pedal the bike even when your not clipped into the pedal.

Best Pedals IMO

Want a pedal you can clip into or grip with flats? If you don't care about a few extra grams of weight, these pedals will do the trick. I haven't taken them off since day 1. Used for bombing the downhill park in Snowmass, CO and trail riding all over.

Mallet DH are the pedals for me!

I love these pedals. I originally used the Candy 2 pedals, but always felt unstable on them. I love the bigger platform, even with a stiffer platform shoe.

Solid Mtb Pedals

These are an excellent addition to any mtb setup. With a little bit of personal comfort tweaks, that pedals do well clipping in, holding on, and being able to clip out when you want to. Work well even when caked up.

Beginner review

I’m a beginner with clip in but they are tough to get used to really had to make a good groove in the shoe to get them going, but once I got used to them I love them. They are super playful and give a lot more connection to the bike.

Great compromise

I've been back and forth on flat pedals and clips - using them from normal XC/Enduro to bike parks. These babies have me covered. Stoked, bought another set for my lady-friend, she uses the easy exit cleats and loves them too! Thanks!

Great Pedals

These pedals are easy to clip in and clip out. The platforms are nice and stable even when not wearing my bike shoes. They are well built and look awesome

Love these pedals! Absolutely love how secure it feels with the extra pins. I’m glad I went with these DH rather than the standard mallet.
