Best pedal ever. If you ride anywhere near mud you need these.

I've ridden eggbeaters for 15 years. After riding every other brand, I settled on eggbeaters because they are light, easy entry, great float, and they clear mud. Raced these in LaRuta, and they had zero issues. They also perform great in the clay mess in Fruita as well as the sand of the Colorado front range. Easy to service and rebuild. Throw away your other pedals and make the switch.

My go to pedal. I’ll try something different but I always make my way back to the EggBeater 3. Not exactly the lightest, but I always get multiple years out of them. Durability has been very good. I live in Fruita Colorado so they take a beating bouncing off of rocks but keep working.

best all around pedal

When I started racing MTB in the early 90's, I always thought these were cool. When I re-entered into cycling in 2012 I grabbed a pair of eggbeater1's for my old MTB shoes. I have run these on road bikes, cross bikes, and MTB. Even ridden from Boston to Chicago with them (on the three hole road cleat) with some Carbon shoes. LOVE LOVE LOVE these.

I first learned to ride clipless on Candies and I was worried that by switching to the eggbeaters it would be harder to clip in because the surface is much smaller but it is actually way better! Now there are 4 entry points so I'm not struggling to get my foot in anymore. I love these pedals and I would happily recommend that anyone who's looking at clipless to get these.

My go-to pedal. Great mud shedding, knee friendly lateral float, consistent release, light. Cons: somewhat insecure standing platform, would recommend this be used with a stiff sole. A solid rock strike beneath the pedal can sometimes cause pre-release.

I race, I coach, I beat the s#%t out of these pedals. I bash them on rocks and trees I click in and out 40 times per practice with the High School team I coach and they never-ever fail me. Light weight, tough and reliable. That’s why I Crank Brothers.

Excellent pedals

I own multiple sets of the pedals for several bikes, mountain and cycle cross. Great at shedding gunk and attachment in nasty conditions. Did have an issue with one set, which crank brother took care of under warranty. I'd buy again.

I have at least four sets of these on cross and mountain bikes. They are incredibly easy to engage because of the four sides of entry. Light and strong, the only better pedal is the Eggbeater 11 titanium version!

Eggbeater 3

The eggbeater 3 model is a perfect balance of weight, cost, and performance in the eggbeater lineup. Like an eggbeater, the pedals afford top of the line float and mud shedding capabilities.

Fantastic MTB/Gravel Pedals

Amazing. Easy clip in and out. Quality construction and lightweight. Some may miss a platform to step on (like the candy pedals) but I love the look and functionality of these.

Egg Beaters

These pedals shed mud easily and make clipping in effortless when hitting the trails on muddy days. I now have Crank Brothers on all my bikes.
