Take the Candy

Expert Recommendation Content I have switched back and forth between running flat pedals and clipless. When I first decided to try clipless, I tried out both Crankbrothers, Shimano SPD, and HT pedals for a few weeks to see what mechanism and feel I liked the best. The Candy pedals won out, and have been my pick for being locked in. The small platform helps support my shoes well, and gives you a nice place to rest your foot if you don’t clip in right way. The mechanism sheds mud and snow very well (it’s my favorite for the Wisconsin winter on my fat bike), and the four sided entry and makes it very easy to clip in. The float from the standard cleats works great for keeping my knees happy too.

I have put 100 miles on these pedals over the last week and I can say these are amazing. This is my first set of clip less pedals and clipping in took some getting used to. I was also weary of how easy it was to get out of the pedals but after riding around the block a few times I picked it up quickly. Overall a great product. The pedals and cleats were both easy to install and Crank Brothers have great youtube videos if you are uncertain of how to adjust anything. They care about their customers just as much as their product!

Great clipless pedal!

The Candy 2's are an excellent set of pedals. The only reason I did not give them a 5/5 is due to their weight. I have a cyclocross bike, a fat-tire, and a high-end race/endurance bike. I wanted to use the same shoes/cleats to fit all three bikes. Three sets of Crank Bro's set me up well. These Candy 2's are great. I just wish they were a little lighter for my 14 lb bike.

I've used Eggbeaters for years, on all of my bikes...MT, road, commuter even my fixey. For the MT bike you can't beat the 4 sided entry, especially when it's muddy. For the road you can't beat the low profile cleat, no more waddling around on the stupid plastic and slippery cleat. They are pretty reliable too, I ride A LOT and took about 15 years before I busted a spring.

Great pedal.

I have bad knees and need the float they provide. Been using Crankbro’s pedals for years and own several pair. Can’t find fault with any of them. You can’t go wrong with them. The only pedal I recommend to new and seasoned riders alike. I own several styles from eggbeaters, all the way to their platforms.

Great Pedal

I have been riding on these pedals for about 2 months on my gravel bike and I really have nothing bad to say about them. They are easy to clip in, easy to clip out, look great, and seem to have no wear. I would certainly not hesitate to purchase them again for another build.

Could be easier to enter.

I prefer the egg beater. In fact it is my favorite pedal and all that I run. I got these for the indoor trainer and the platform actually gets in the way of a clean entry. I will say though, if your looking for a pedal that will never fail look no further that crankbrothers.

I've got these pedals on two bikes, one of which I've had for almost ten years. I've got well over a thousand miles on these pedals and they're still going strong.

i am very fimailar with crank bro.i have used their pedals on a number of bikes , i had one set that the bearings were out but still pedaled smooth, one of the easiest pedals to clip in and out of .

Great Value!

I use these on my gravel bicycle for fun and to race a bit. These things came out of the box and immediately felt super sturdy! I've used them multiple times now and have no issues with mud clearance or clipping in/out! Highly recommended!

Easy install, secure fit and hasn’t caused me any problems. First pair of clipless MTB pedals and it only took 2-3 spills to get the hang of it.

This is my first pair of pedals that did not come with a bike. They seem well made, were easy to install, and they are easy to clip in and out of for a beginner.

Great all around pedal

Expert Recommendation Content Put it through the rigors of cyclocross season without issue. Also use it on my daily commuter bike.

great pedals, can use as flats for short rides...

I like the Candy pedals but prefer the standard egg beaters due to the minimal and weight. Just a preference choice at that point

Great peddle

It is a great pedal and easy to get in and out of. Also, the design is excellent at clearing mud and debris out of the clip section.
