Only MTB pedal I'll use... usually

Such a great pedal, I love the low weight and the ease of clipping/unclipping. When I was new to riding clipless the eggbeaters gave me a lot of confidence that I'd be able to get my foot out in time in case I wiped out (happened pretty frequently). The only issue I've had is that once on a ride I had a small metal piece break (while riding on smooth pavement), which prevented me from clipping in, and eggbeaters are tough to ride on when not clipped in. My left leg was wrecked when I got home haha. With that being said I'll keep coming back to them, it's the only pedal I've used in the last 10 years!

Love my speedplays for cx

The fact you can engage from any side is a huge bonus. I use these on my CX bike and where my SPD's get clogged quickly with mud, these egg beaters shed the mud quicker allowing me to engage the pedals quickly when I jump back on after an obstacle. Sine our races our usually <45 minutes these pedals are awesome. On the road, however, these crankbrothers give me a hot spot under the ball of my foot, much like speedplays did. I'm not a fan of these pedals for longer training rides but I rarely do that on my CX bike so these pedals just live on my CX bike. It does require me to have two sets of shoes but that's what we all deal with right?

Can’t beat em!

I have egg beaters on my gravel, cyclocross bike, hardtail mtb, and fat bike. Ill probably put them on the road bike if the speedplays ever die. Of all the pedal systems I’ve had over the years, the egg beaters are a standard to beat. 4 sided entry with crazy mud clearance, durability is fantastic and all of mine have taken some hard rock hits. Maintenance is simple and quite frankly I rarely ever service them. Maybe the only hard part is that if I want to do neighborhood rides without cycling cleats, they are hard to ride, especially with flip flops... love em.

Hard to a Beat

I have no less than 10 set of these pedals. And, with a little maintenance they will last a long time. I love these because they’re easy to get in and out of the four sided mechanism and mud clearance for cycle-cross and mountain bike . Another great thing about these pedals, is the service from Crank. Brothers if you ever need it something. Those guys are great!

Good price for the product. System is not play-free; depends on lug depth of off-road cycling shoes. Seems I may need the contact pads for a clean fit but they work okay without the pads. Took a long while to get used to clipping in on these but now they are a breeze. Happy with them, might get the lighter ones in the future.

Light, easy to clip in and out on trails and mixed terrain. The other thing that’s key- I had heard that egg beaters are good if you have knee issues which I’ve found to be accurate. I used to almost feel micro tears with other pedals but not with egg beaters. Looking to switch all bikes over.

Egg Beaters FTW!!!

I have other Crankbrothers pedals on different bikes but this is my first pair of Egg Beaters. Engagement is easy and once I was on the road and riding I never thought about them. They work great and I never felt that I needed any additional support or platform under my feet. As usual, great work and product, Crankbrothers!!!

I love these pedals and have been putting them on my mountain and road bikes for many years. They are solid, work perfectly in all conditions, are easy to get in and out of, and are super easy to set up. Plus, I like to match the colors with the bikes for that extra bit of flair.

These guys make the best pedals period. Only brand I’ve ever used and ever will. The egg beaters are great. Simple, durable, mud shedding, no hassle. I’ve had them for over two years now and still going strong.

Perfect for MTB or gravel riding

I use an older set of Keen commuter sandals for most of my riding nowadays and the Eggbeaters are an awesome companion...light, sheds mud, so easy to clip in and out of...they've been a dream!

good all-around pedal

i have these pedals on multiple bikes. it's a great pedal for all-around use. i use them for commuting, mountain biking, gravel grinding. simple, effective. they just work.

Mud-phobic in a great way

Switched to the crankbros pedal system for cyclocross. These work great in muddy conditions. Always able to quickly clip in and out as needed.
