Great purchase

My wife is always cold when camping in the Rocky Mountains, this has helped quite a bit. We’ve used it a ton over the past couple years and it still works and looks like it did when it was new. Seems to shed dirt and grime pretty well, and our golden retriever has walked all over it without any punctures. The only drawback I can think of is that attaching the bag to inflate the mattress is hard enough that my wife can’t do it herself. You need to have some strong thumbs! It has to be air tight though so makes sense. The fact that you can use the bag to inflate is genius and works much better than blowing.

Game Changer

This is not something I would carry into the backcountry, but it is a game changer for car camping or horse packing. I used this extensively solo hunting in 2020. Coupled with the V Sheet, I had some of the most comfortable nights sleeping while camping. The pad inflates and deflates easily. It worked for days that were in the mid 80s and nights in the 20s. Coupled with the sheet allowed me to sleep outside of my mummy bag until temperatures dropped. Also there was not way to roll off of the extra wide pad. When I am camping with my young children, this wider pad allows one of them to curl up next to me or my spouse.

I own 2 of these and have more than 16 nights on them now. I had a slow leaking valve on one of them from original delivery but Klymit customer support was easy to deal with and they replaced it in a respectable time frame with little hassle. Other than that initial issue, I have nothing to complain about. They pack down well, they are warm, easy to fill with the included bag, and they are as comfortable as a backpacking air mattress can be. They have been very durable thus far and stand up well to my dogs and kids. If weight and packability are not a concern, a 1" foam mattress pad cut to size and layered between the pad and a fitted v sheet makes the perfect car camping sleep system.

Good size for two fit individuals. Fits perfectly in my REI Half Dome 2+ tent. It seems to insulate well as my back is never cold even in the chilly Rocky mountains in the winter. The inflating bag technique works fairly decently though I wish there was a way to inflate normally by blowing into it incase the bag rips beyond repair. Packs small enough where one person takes the pad and the other takes the tent and it's about even. Rolling up the pad neatly to fit properly and small in the bag is a huge pain in the butt.

Love this pad!

Expert Recommendation Content I absolutely love these pads! I never get cold! And I had a micro hole in my pad and brought it in to the store in UT and they tested it. They couldn't fix it and sent me a brand new one!!! Great warranty and great product! Highly recommend!

I love all Klymit products and have been thrilled with the Insulated Double V Sleeping Pad. I have slept in the bed of my pickup truck with it, in a tent with it, and even on the bench seat of my truck. I have slept on it alone and with another person and dog and when sharing it, it was almost like I was alone on it. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Just received today. Shipped out quickly. Obviously haven’t used it camping yet but went ahead and tried it out inside the house. Seems like quality construction and feels pretty comfy. The stuff bag inflates the pad pretty quickly and the pad is easy to roll up and get back into the oversized stuff bag.

Klymit Double V is great for side sleepers

Stuff bag doubles as the inflation pump! (Much better than inflating by mouth!) I could only slightly feel my partner roll on his side and while I am asleep, it doesn't disturb me at all. Pads in the past have been uncomfortable to sleep on my side, however, this pad has extra support at the shoulder and hip so I do not sink to the ground! Would definitely recommend to someone looking for something with support without the added weight.

This mattress is extremely comfortable and warm. If you have the space and no consequence for added weight (I'm sure it's a little heavier than most air mattresses) it's amazing! I bought for me and my lady to sleep on, but when you're alone, it's like camping on a king sized bed! Only reason it didn't get a 10 is because it does take a good amount of breath to fill it up, but when you're using it for a long weekend, it's worth getting dizzy for a couple minutes!

For the $$, a great option

This pad is great for car camping/tent camping. I would not recommend it for any backpacking trip as it's compressed state is not very compressed. Also, the inflation process is very interesting in that they've integrated the storage bag as essentially a pump. It only kinda works... Honestly kind of annoying if you're in any sort of tight quarters to inflate in their intended way. Overall, for the price, I'd say it's a good buy as long as you're looking for a tent/truck camping pad.

Comfy and compact

This is a well made pad that provides plenty of support without taking up much space. Would only take a few breaths to blow up but I like the innovative stuff sack that doubles as and inflation bag. Didn't feel any rocks and sleep pretty darn well. Only reason I didn't give top marks is that there is always room for improvement, you just don't know it until you know it.

Perfect tent camp pad for my wife and I.

Great for car for tent camping. I found that it would go down slightly in air each day, but not a big deal. Just add more before bed. I didn’t use in cold weather but hot no issues in warm weather. It is a bigger bag once put away, not for backpacking. It also does a good job of not pushing air around as one person adjusts.

Comfy Pad

I have found this to be a great and comfortable pad for two. Found it to be warm on cold nights in the San Juans and disperses body weight very well. Very happy with it from a sleeping aspect. My only gripe about this pad is that it is nearly impossible to get back into the storage/inflate sack in a neatly rolled way. It arrived fitting properly, so it is most likely user error on this end.

Great for the truck set up

Its a relatively light and packable double sleeping pad. I've been using it this fall for mountain bike trips with my partner to sleep in the back of the truck. Packs well, rolls up easily, and has been durable so far with sticks and other pokey stuff. The stuff sack as the inflator is a lung saver.

Best Sleeping Pad for Couples

The Klymit Insulated Double V is incredible. We've used it by itself and on top of an air mattress. It is extremely comfortable when sleeping on your back or side and fits perfectly under our double sleeping bag. Klymit's Insulated V line of sleeping pads is the best available!
