Great Pillow!

I actually just paid full price for this pillow while mid camping trip because I was so sick of my Amazon special and I’m not even mad because it’s awesome. I’m a very picky side sleeper and sleep on the BA Q Core Deluxe Wide and this pillow paired with that was the best camp sleep I’ve had in a long time! I am one who sacrifices my pack weight for my sleep system because I need comfort so I personally think the weight is fine. I wish it were just a little higher but whatever because it’s still the best I’ve found so far! I’m getting another one for my boyfriend.

Klymit Luxe Pillow

The Klymit Luxe Pillow could be viewed as one of those impulse gear purchases, but it is one that I am glad that I made. It rolls up small, is lightweight and inflates in no time. The cover is soft and very breathable next to the skin. It is relatively quiet as you shift around on it, and you can adjust the amount of air in it to adjust it's support and height under your head. It really is a great little piece of gear that makes a night out in the woods just a bit nicer. And when you get home, pop the cover off & toss it in the washer to get any camp grime off of it.

A lightweight luxury, and a must

Klymit already provides fantastic inflatable sleeping pads and none other I've tried can compare. That same great technology is used here in the pillow, but the soft fabric shell, wide shape, and adjustable pressure of the pillow makes for a great nights sleep. It only takes 5 breaths and I've got a comfy pillow for the night. It packs down smaller than other backpacking pillows I've tried and is just as lightweight. The fabric feels like a real pillow and keeps the slight crinkling of plastic underneath much more silent than without it, and with the adjustable pressure I can make it as lofty or flat as I want. The wide shape means I can move from my back to my side without adjusting the position of the pillow. It also has two divots on the left and right for my head to fall right into place. Last time I laid on this pillow I was swinging in my Sky Bivy in the Rocky Mountains at 10pm and only remember waking up in the morning after an apparently deep, uninterrupted sleep. I like this pillow so much I just bought 4 more.

Closest one can get to a comfortable backpacking pillow

I've been on the hunt for a good backpacking pillow for a while and thought I'd give this one a shot because it looked pretty darn comfy. Although its pack size is a bit larger than most backpacking pillows, to me it was worth it because I value a good night's sleep on the trail more than anything. I love the removable cover and to me it is what makes this pillow better than others on the market. It is so soft an adds a bit of cushion to the inflatable inside, and I've never noticed excessive noise with the fabric rubbing. My main gripe about it is the height once inflated, it doesn't quite bridge the distance from the tent floor to my head so I have a bit of a crick in my neck if I don't prop up the pillow on my arm or extra clothing. I think if they scaled down the length in favor of the inflated height it would be the perfect pillow.

Comfy pillow for camping

This was a luxury purchase for me, a great pillow for car camping. I still have yet to use it for backcountry. With the experiences I had so far after two seasons of use: - Pretty large for a camp pillow - Soft material - Packs down small enough - Has a layer of cushiony foam so it doesn't feel uncomfortable In my personal opinion, I found this to be the most comfortable and quite luxurious camp pillow compared to other options I saw in stores. Otherwise, I'd just bring a real pillow for car camping, or stuff my clothes in a stuff sac to be efficient. It's nice having this as an option!

Decent for side sleepers.

Overall a great camping pillow. It is wide so I didn’t roll off of the pillow in the night - major plus. The thickness is adequate for my wife but I still propped my extra clothes under it so I could sleep on my side. It packs down nicely to about the size of a plastic water bottle - weight is negligible to me. It is also quiet when you roll around in it. The fabric of the cover is soft and easily removable to be washed. Camping pillows are simply a luxury with backpacking but they make a huge difference in my sleep quality! I’ve used it on 3 separate multi-night backpacking trips and will be sure to continue to bring it along. The reason for 4 stars is that it is not equivalent to a bed pillow so I do not want people to assume that’s what they will receive with this product. Can’t beat the price for the quality.

Really Awesome Pillow

I decided to use this is a car camping/campsite pillow since its a bit larger than my REI backpacking pillow. While only being a few inches longer when packed, this is an extremely comfortable pillow. Spent two nights car camping with it, and can now say, it may actually become a backpacking pillow. The comfort it gave makes the extra size worth it in a pack for me. My only issue with it isn't really an issue as I've had it with all pillows i've tried. Makes a crinkling sound if its not rock solid, but it didn't bother me much at all!

Love the Luxe camping pillow!! It is a little big for a backpacking pillow, but I love that it has a nice pillow topper on the inflatable bladder. I feel that it is a soft material, cushy and comfortable for a back sleeper and I found it comfortable for side sleeping. My only con is that it is a little big and bulky. I found that I didn't like putting it into my sleeping back when at high elevations as my head would get cold and it didn't fit in my back, and when you put it outside the sleeping back, it would move around a bit and sometimes it would slip out of place.

Best Packable Pillow

Partly because I am not sure what a 10 is like. This pillow is the best packable pillow I have used. Much larger than I would have guessed given its pack size. Re-packs easy. I love the quilted, washable cover. It is big without being huge making it a reasonable thing to have camping. So far I have used it in 2 conditions. First, under a regular pillow while car camping which was great. Second, back packing where it was also a welcome luxury...until my wife stole it. I am a bit of a weight/size weeny trying to keep things lighter (not super light). This pillow has me on the fence of "do I take it". The comfort and sleep is well worth it. However, if light/size was a higher criteria like when I bike pack I would leave it and stuff a sack or wedge my shows under my pad to make a ramp. All about balance I suppose.

Decent Camping Pillow

I'll preface by saying this is the first camping pillow I've used. But I am glad that I picked this up. My job limits the amount of overnight gear to what we can fit into an x-large backpack and by overall weight. I'll gladly give up the water bottle-sized space for the comfort of this pillow. The benefit of the inflatable bladder is that it packs down and the inflated size can be adjusted to preference; I sleep with it ~2/3 of the way full. The exterior covering gives extra comfort. My only downside is that the material used for the cover feels like it occasionally "catches" on hair & skin if that makes sense. It might just be catching on all the grime that I get covered in while working on a fire and I haven't used it when not at work, so I cannot say for sure. But it can be removed and washed when need be.

Cloud pillow!

This pillow is super comfy. I messed around with the air fill a few nights going from a light/squishy fill to fully inflated/firm fill; I liked both. I have neck and shoulder problems and I felt like this was the best pillow for me to sleep on and not be in pain while camping. Only drawback (and a minor one) is that the material being so soft and against my sleeping bag caused some slipping so the first night I woke up a couple times because it had slid up and my neck was bent funny. I kinda dialed it in after that and it wasn’t too much of an issue. Might recommend getting some kind of thin, non-slip material to place between the pillow and my bag next time. The soft material however is Very nice to sleep on. I highly recommend this product!

Hard to find a good inflatable pillow

Compact and lightweight. Seems to be of the quality I now expect from Klymit. I was kinda skeptical of another inflatable pillow, but the polyester cover is possibly the key that many other inflatable pillows are lacking. It tricks you into believing it is a stuffed pillow. I like the valve, which makes it easy to adjust the amount of air. Seems like I will only fully inflate it when side sleeping on the ground, since it seems a lot more comfortable in most sleeping positions when not fully inflated. It is especially nice in the hammock to use it just lightly inflated since it seems to stay in place better and is still very comfortable. So far I am very happy with this pillow.

This is by far the best packable, lightweight pillow I have used. I have at least 5 or 6 different pillows I have tried over the years on a variety of expeditions and nothing allows for the level of comfort this thing brings. Regardless of whether or not you end up with some of other awesome products that Klymit has in their line-up, this product is a must.

Life Saver in Fiji!

Expert Recommendation Content I just spent 2 weeks in Fiji on a service trip. We had a great opportunity to live in small villages. Humbling experience. But when it came to sleep, I was stoked to have a clean and packable pillow as everything they offered us was heavily used (unique smelling) or made of wood (seriously).

Works Great

My son actually got this for me as a joke before a trip to the Boundary Waters as he didn't want the old man to be uncomfortable. I ended up trying it the week before we left, I was so happy with it he went and purchased another for himself. Its super easy to inflate and takes very little space. Nothing wrong with being comfortable!

Soft and comfortable

There are a lot of pillows on the market. If you get one, this is it. The quilt cover over the top is so comfortable and not loud like other inflatable pillows. It is my luxury item and love it for car camping and have even brought it backpacking. Fist sized and easy to inflate. Easy to take cover off to wash. Klymit makes affordable, durable, lightweight gear to make the outdoors more accessible for all. Highly recommend this company and its stuff!

Comfortable!

This is the most comfortable camping / backpacking / hiking / deployment pillow I have ever used. The best thing is that you don't feel like you're going to bounce off of it and the soft cover feels very nice. If you are doing a long thru hike and are watching every ounce this is not for you as it weighs 7oz. However, if you want very good sleep and a 'luxury' item you can't go wrong with this pillow. The only reason I gave it an 8 as opposed to a 10 is due to the weight and pack down size (7' x 3').

Best backpacking pillow

I’ve used it countless times and it’s the one creature comfort I will always bring with me in the back country. Easy to inflate. Packs down to the size smaller than a coke can. The shape is great to sleep on. But the best part is the cover that comes on it. If you’ve ever used other pillows they’re loud, crinkly, and don’t feel good against your skin. Klymit conquered all those problems with this pillow. I can’t say enough good things about it. Also makes a great travel pillow on the plane.

I love that you can wash the cover separately and when it's all deflated and rolled up, it doesn't take very much space or room at all. I've been using it at work on a regular basis and I haven't had any major complaints. I leave it inflated most of the time, and I love that I can adjust the firmness or softness of it. It does get sticky and warm in the hotter temperatures but it's still much more breathable than the ones that are basically just felted plastic.

Great support and light

As a Chiropractor, I appreciate a good pillow. Especially when backpacking. This was a purchase to replace an old fiber filled compression sack pillow and was well worth the purchase. I like the height of the pillow for side sleeping position and the variability with he air fill. It’s compact and light so well worth the pack space and load for the comfort provided. This would work well for a person traveling anywhere you are unsure what your head may be resting on once at your destination.

Everyday Pillow

This pillow goes with me everywhere in the water bottle pocket on my computer bag. I’m never caught off guard with something soft to lay my head on. It’s compact and lightweight. It inflates quickly and easily. The inflation port is easy to use and has a snap to tuck it away once you’ve blown it up. The quilted cover makes it feel like a real pillow. It is a good usable size rather than your typical postage stamp blowup. You can get smaller and lighter pillows but there’s no comparison.

Super excited to try this. My husband has one of these pillows (the red one) and it packs up so small and I was so impressed that i bought the luxe version for myself because it was a little bigger and came with the pillow case. i am so surprised at how much it feels like a pillow. its really comfortable and i like how you can make it as soft or firm as you want. it packs bigger than their other pillows, but this is also bigger and comes with a pillow case.

Awesome Pack Pillow

This pack pillow is freakin awesome. I've tried several different brands in the past and this one takes the cake. I use it for field missions and for camping. I love how it packs down super small and how lightweight it is. Perfect for everyone, beginners or experts. The removeable cover makes it easy to wash and maintain. I'd suggest pairing it with one of Klymit's sleep pads for great sleep and light pack weight.

Sleep, where art thou?

There you are! I have great difficulty sleeping, anywhere. I’ve tried multiple pillows and the Luxe is perfect for me. The cover is soft to the skin and you can inflate it to the exact firmness or softness you need. It’s wide enough that if you flip-flop like me your head always stays on the pillow! It is thick enough that I can side sleep comfortably. It feels as comfortable as my pillow at home.

Most comfortable pillow I own

This thing is like your own favorite pillow from home that fits in your pack. It’s not the lightest weight but it is certainly worth it for a quality rest. Unless you are one who obsesses over ounces this is the camping pillow you need. It doesn’t get cold, and your drool won’t pool under your face after you crash at the end of the day. You know you’ve been there. Great product, great quality, and a great nights sleep.
