Durable and comfortable

Expert Recommendation Content I have enjoyed using the sky bivy as an alternative to my tent. I have used it about a dozen times in Colorado, Utah and Idaho where it gets fairly cold at night and the tarp has helped keep me warm and dry. This sleep system is a great car camping option when weight is not an issue but at over 5 lbs I leave it at home when I go backpacking. The lay flat hammock is quite comfortable and after it has been set up a few times and the fabric has stretched it is quick and easy to put together. The tarp can be used in many different configurations depending on the weather and will work with any hammock. The sky bivy comes with everything required to use it right away so no need to go out and buy extra stuff. It comes with the hammock with spreader bars, tarp with poles, klymit carabiners, guy lines with quick adjustments, tent stakes, and it even came with a tree strap. Overall I am pleased with the klymit sky bivy and I would recommend it, I gave it an 8 rather than a 10 is because the hammock does not work without the spreader poles and I felt like weight could have been shaved if the poles were made of a lighter material.

Cheaper on Amazon :-/

Discovered I could have saved almost $100 off the "pro deal" price if I had checked Amazon. The only thing I hate more than Amazon is feeling like I got ripped off... Hammock itself is decent - heavier than it should be and takes some fiddling to get set up right. Bought for solo bikepacking and it does the job well and is very comfortable, just wish it were less bulky and complicated.

Super comfy, kinda a hassle to repack.

So far I used the product once, after we got it setup is extremely comfy. The first time setting up this kind of confusing but will get easier. The worst thing I found so far is repacking up the rain fly. Maybe I just have to learn how to repack it but the bag is extremely tight when trying to roll it up. really looking forward to get out and using it on a back packing trip right now I just used it for daily use in the backyard.

Not too bad

Easy enough setup, one of the spreader bars gave me a little trouble, but I think that was due to it being new. I’m interested in trying this in a backpacking setting. I have not setup the cover for it. After a few more uses and sleeping overnight in it I’ll update with more information.

Great Hammock

Used this hammock for several days on the Archery hunt, worked great for a shelter. Easy to set up and comfortable to sleep in.

Love this Hammock

Great and easy setup. the rain fly gives you a surprising amount of room in the hammock, i can easily sit up and not feel cramped at all.
