Came through in a pinch

I bought this blanket with the idea that I'd keep it in the truck for camping or occasionally crashing out on a buddy's couch when traveling. Then I got snowed in overnight in North Dakota in January when a blizzard closed the roads. I ended up sleeping in my truck and could not have been more comfortable. For something so compact - and affordable - this little blanket is amazing. There's plenty of loft to the fill, but it still breathes - keeping you comfortable all night long. I've used it several more times since then and it has been absolutely worth every penny!

Not as nice, but half the price!

Title sums it up well. It is not as nice as some competitors blankets, namely rumpl, however at half the price of some of their blankets, and price halved again on prodeal, they become a very enticing option. I like that it stuffs into its own pillow shaped pocket, which is not adequate as a pillow for sleeping but is comfortable for use on the couch or at a picnic. Would not use it to replace a proper camp pillow though. The blanket is warm, and large enough for one person to wrap up in a cozy manner. You get that classic soft and silky feel that a good sleeping bag gives, but frankly not quite as soft or slick/silky as a Rumpl. I hesitate to buy kit that’s so expensive that I would hesitate to use it ( “put a $200 blanket on the sand? As if!”) and so these blankets filled the niche perfectly for me. Also fairly warm but not overwhelmingly so on the couch. Have not used in camp or backcountry setting, yet. Buy with confidence!

Probably would not have bought this for myself, but can't live without it now.

The name and videos are maybe a little silly, but it's everything as promised. It packs down really well into the perfect sized stuff sack. Need an extra layer in your hammock? This is it. Need a pillow for your sleeping bag? It's pretty decent. Combine this with a bag liner and it's a low cost sleeping bag replacement with a decent amount of warmth. That foot box in the blanket does make a difference. I'm not a big camper, but it seems that I mostly go when it's too hot for bag. The snaps really do keep it wrapped around you for hands free movement on chilly mornings. It would be great on the couch as well. If the cost is too high for you, be patient because there will be imitators.

Glassing Blanket

I bought this as a glassing blanket to break the wind and keep my lower body warm. I really like it for that purpose and think it performs well. I have also used it for hammock sleeping in warm weather, a sleeping bag liner in really cold weather, a sun shade while glassing and just around the house and backyard firepit. The quality is good, it is warmer than it should be and packs down ok. It is synthetic, so its heavier than it could be and doesn't compress well, but that means it still warms even when a little wet. Overall, very happy with quality and utility. For the price it think everyone should try it out. There is just so much you can do with it, I cant imagine you will be disappointed.

My new woobie

My poncho liner was falling apart after 25 years, and I was looking for a replacement when I stumbled upon this blanket. So far, I've only used it around the house and for two nights sleeping in the mountains, both of which were around 50 degrees, and it was perfect for that. I like the fact that it folds into a pillow, not necessarily to use as a pillow but to keep it organized during travel. I'm not sure I'll ever use the foot box or pockets but, even just as a blanket, I really like this thing and I'm hoping for a good 25 years with it.

Great addition to my arsenal

A great idea I wish someone though of sooner! The versatility, the hand pockets, the snaps. It’s all just designed to be useful however you use it. I’m nervous to use it directly by the campfire cause I don’t want it to get ruined by a stray ember but I also need to balance that against the fact that this thing isn’t super expensive and if it gets ruined because I used it, we’ll at least I USED it instead of just saying how I could have used it. I’m the type who’s always delicate with their stuff, but this shouldn’t need to be handled gently, just use it and get another one when it gets ruined. It’s worth it. Also we used it as a draft fill addition to our double wide big Agnes bag

Light, warm, and slick

I use this in my rooftop tent for overlanding. Great warmth, perfect size, and super lightweight. My only complaint is that it's a little slippery on other nylon fabrics, so if you're putting it on top of another blanket or sleeping bag, plan on waking up to reposition it as it slides all over.

Watch out for the wife and kids!

Absolute comfort in this blanket was key to the wife stealing my first order, and then my daughter snagging the 2nd order. I've learned my lesson... must hide from family! Just as comfortable as a "woobie" (military slang), and stolen just as fast! Believe it or not, my only complaint would be to make an extra large for those of us over 6', my toes were a bit cooler even tho there is a foot box.

A must have

This blanket is phenomenal. It packs down into a pretty small package and the warmth is fantastic. Love the small details like clasps, pockets, and foot box. I’ve used it camping, I’ve used it on two hypothermia patients, I’ve even used it effectively to calm down a patient having a PTSD episode. The thing is great! I wish the pockets were on both sides, and I wish the stitching was a little more hardy. Those are my only complaints, and I have to reach a bit for those. Buy it!

Lite weight, bought 2.

I bought 2 so my wife and I would each have one. We’ve used them on the beach in the chilly evenings, like being wrapped in a light weight sleeping bag, and now in the backyard by the fire pit(not too close though) Surprised at the warmth to weight. They stuff nicely into their stuff sacks. We’re taking them with us on our upcoming Shenandoah camping trip for extra warmth in the van and by the campfire. I highly recommend them for light weight easily carried warmth.

Haven't used it camping yet just indoors but I can already tell this thing will replace my current woobie for summer camping its allot warmer and very light small and versitile. I have a overexciteable GSP that somehow got to this blanket and was being rough with it and jumped on it a few times I thought for sure it would be tore but to my surprise it held up fantastic not even a mark highly recommend this blanket to anyone looking for something when they don't want to pack out the sleeping bag

I used the versa camping blanket for the first time a few weeks ago on a climbing trip. It was very warm for its weight. I was able to sleep comfortably in my car on top of my sleeping bag and under the blanket. Nighttime temperatures were in the forties. The blanket also doubled as a great sun shield when the sun rose and the car started heating up. I am looking forward to using it more this summer, especially hammock camping.

Great lightweight blanket for hot summer nights. I use this for camping in the middle of summer. I like how easy it is to wrap up in when the night gets cool (especially the foot pouch) and kick off when it gets hot. It seems to have a wide range of temperature it can be comfortable in (lowest I’ve used it in was mid-50s and still felt warm and comfortable.)

Nice versatile outdoor blanket

This is a pretty great offering from Klymit. It's a blanket that's very light but surprisingly warm and sports a few special features. It has nifty little pockets for you hands in two corners and a little pocket for your feet as well. You can stuff the whole thing in the foot pocket and it becomes a nice pillow. The best thing about this however is the warmth to weight. It really is warmer than it looks.

Great to keep in the camping tote

This is a great packable blanket. I have used it now while camping and just for quick park trips and it has exceeded my expectations. Easy to clean, water-resistant enough to sit on wet ground and the pillow configuration is great for sleeping. So far I have used about a dozen times and I have no complaints. Seems like it will last for quite a while.

Never go camping without a versatile blanket.

Nice blanket, but a little pricey. A lot of thought went into developing a blanket with the versatility for camping and other events. I primarily use it for camping. In the summer it’s my only blanket and in the winter it supplements my sleeping, but more often than naught it gets borrowed by someone sitting around the campfire.

Its like a woobie, but better

I feel like I am cheating on my woobie. If anyone has served in the military you understand the magic of the woobie, however Klymit has managed to improve upon the design. It is incredibly warm, has a ton of features, and seems pretty durable so far. If they made it in tactical colors it would go to the field with me, I just can't sit in an ORP with an orange blanket unfortunately. If one side was camo and the other orange it could be the best VS-17 panel ever. It is great for civilian use though.

I've tried out several similar blankets on the market from other brands and I would definitely recommend this one over the rest. The part that makes it stand out the most is the size. While still being able to pack down pretty compact, it is actually big enough to completely wrap up in.

Surprisingly useful!

I bought these to have a lightweight, packable option for an overseas trip this spring - and we've used them all summer and into early fall as an extra layer over our camping sheets! Having two single blankets is more flexible for myself & my husband since we can adjust coverage individually rather than having a fullsize blanket bunched up between us. Only downside so far is that they're very slippery, so they slide around a bit.

Love it!

I love the versa blanket! I have used them car-camping, in my home, while sailing, traditional camping, etc. and I have never been let down. The versa blanket offers comfort in a wide range of temperatures that maximimizes its utility. Everyone is likely to fall in love with these blankets; I know my family has been smitten with them.

Cool product, functional, unique, multi-purpose, comfortable, affordable

When I saw this product I knew I would love it, so I bought two immediately. I generally use it in its pillow form, and when I go camping it often replaces my sleeping bag in the warmer months. It is also perfect for staying cozy on the couch or as an extra blanket on the bed. Excellent product. I highly recommend it.

Versatile and warm!

It’s a great blanket and I love the ability to make it into a pillow! Worked well for mid-40° temps to keep warm. This is not a cold weather blanket. However it worked well when bikepacking and stuffed smaller than most other blankets in this price range. I love the bright color too which could be used in emergency situations for being spotted. Very happy with my purchase!

very versatile, and unique

It really holds in body heat well & warms up fast. Very soft & comfy. My wife loves it, she's not as keen on camping as my sons & I, but this makes her almost happy. We can even take it to the beach, and the sand just shakes right off! Only negative thing is that I have to re-learn how to pack it every time, and the pictures on the bag are not as helpful as they could be.

Perfect for a summer trip

It's a nice light alternative to a sleeping bag and well suited to warmer trips. I paired this with the Klymit Static V pad for a trip down the Zion Narrows and it was perfect. It did get a little cold on another trip when the temp dropped to around 45 degrees, but this was easily fixed by adding another layer of clothes.

Perfect extra warmth

I picked this blanket up as a solution to have some extra warmth if conditions were cooler than expected and I wasn't already using a sleeping bag. So far it has worked perfectly in the cockpit of a sailboat, as an extra layer in my hammock, and a full size blanket when the temp dropped 40 degrees overnight. It's big enough for my 6' frame and the foot box is great for keeping the blanket in place when winds pick up.
