Ready to refresh your gear closet?

As you say goodbye to summer adventures and pull out apparel for crisper weather, it’s a good time to reassess which pieces are ready to hit the trails and which deserve to be retired. We combed through what outdoor brands on ExpertVoice have planned for Fall 2023 to bring you this list of the hottest new products and technologies available on ExpertVoice.

ExpertVoice connects industry professionals, retail associates and other avid product users with the brands they rely on every day. Hiking

Fall hikes come with a new set of challenges: unpredictable weather, fading light and cooler temperatures. Be prepared with easy-to-layer apparel and trail-tough boots.

Outdoor Research Deviator Hoodie

Before it was discontinued in 2017, the original Deviator had a cult-following but was hard for OR to classify. This season, the brand brought the beloved hoodie back with a redesigned windproof, breathable front body and additional protective fabric. It’s a versatile layer for everything from hiking and trail running to backcountry and cross-country skiing.

Columbia Arch Rock™ Double Wall™ Elite

Ideal for extra chilly days, the Arch Rock™ collection features Columbia’s new Double Wall™ Elite technology, which features double-reflective insulation to trap and return more heat inward. As Columbia Senior Director of Innovation Haskell Beckham shared with ExpertVoice, “This is the warmest jacket on a per-weight basis that Columbia has ever created.”

Merrell Moab Speed Scrap

The Merrell Moab line earns frequent praise from hikers for its comfort, grip and versatility, and now the Speed is adding sustainability to its list of benefits. The limited-edition Scrap line features uppers made from stitched-together scrap material that would’ve been otherwise thrown away.

Kari Traa Rose Long Sleeve

Experts love Rose merino wool baselayers for their softness, warmth and woman-specific design, and the collection’s been updated this season with new, bold colorways. Kari Traa uses responsibly sourced merino wool from well-cared-for New Zealand sheep.

Trail Running

Whether you’re looking to break your trail speed record in the cooler temps or simply looking for an excuse to see the changing leaves up close, these new products will help you stay comfortable – and hydrated — no matter your speed.

Feetures Trail Max Cushion Crew

Feetures brings its 20+ years of running expertise to this all-new lineup of quarter and crew socks for running and hiking. Experts praise Feetures for its comfortable, snug fit and no-friction design — and these trail socks are built to help reduce blisters and hot-spots.

Bubs Naturals Hydrate or Die

An expert favorite for its collagen protein and MCT powders, Bubs Naturals has introduced hydration to its catalog with a mix that features electrolytes from nature. It’s available in three flavors: Coconut, Lemon and Orange.

Krimson Klover Zebrah Base Layer Top

New to ExpertVoice, this woman-led brand creates apparel inspired by the mountains near its Boulder, Colorado headquarters. The Zebrah features a moisture-wicking, UPF 50 protective fabric that’s ideal for cool mornings on the trail.

Brooks Cascadia 17 Trail Running Shoe

The latest in Brooks’ trail running lineup features lightweight cushioning paired with all-terrain stability and traction. And it’s part of a well-loved line: 93% of experts rated the previous version 4 stars or higher (out of 5).

R5 GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ Insulated Jacket

GOREWEAR is new to ExpertVoice with a line of weatherproof apparel. Designed for outdoor pursuits ranging from cycling to running, experts love this jacket for chilly days thanks to its extremely packable and weather-resistant warmth.

Outdoor Adventure

Whether you’re camping, fishing or off-roading at a new location, these brands have your back.

Solo Stove Campfire Gear Kit

Now available on ExpertVoice, Solo Stove offers both small- and large-format smokeless fire pits for camping and at-home use. Experts appreciate this portable stove for its lightweight design, easy set up and efficiency.

MAXTRAX

This new-to-ExpertVoice — but not at all new to off-roading — brand offers durable traction boards designed for one-person operation so you can bail your adventure rig out of all types of rugged terrain.

Walkstool Comfort

Built for backpacking and beyond, the Walkstool features an extremely lightweight, three-legged telescoping design.

OnWater Annual Plan

OnWater exists to enhance the fishing experience for all anglers, and its app makes it easier to plan, manage, relive and enhance days on the water.

Free Fly Apparel Nomad Pant

Built for days on the water, Free Fly Apparel is lightweight and breathable, with experts highlighting its benefits beyond rivers, lakes and streams.
