Brianna McKissen Named As Finalist for the Women Tech Awards
SALT LAKE CITY (September 21, 2016) – Expertvoice, the largest network of influential brand experts, today announced that BriAnna McKissen, Senior Manager of Application Engineering and User Interface (UI) Engineer has been listed among this year’s finalists for the Women Tech Awards. BriAnna, along with her fellow finalists represents one of 20 women in a wide range of technology industries, including three collegiate finalists. Award recipients will be announced on Sept. 22, 2016 at an awards luncheon from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, UT.
As the senior manager of application engineering at Expertvoice, BriAnna coordinated and designed the architecture for a new unified front-end experience with multiple apps that have the same style and same branding, but serve different purposes while using the same tech infrastructure. During her short time as application and UI engineering manager at Expertvoice, she has more than doubled the number of engineers on her team over the past four years. Her focus on flexibility and work-life balance creates an environment of happy employees that produce a great product.

Prior to joining Expertvoice, BriAnna ran her own businesses for 12 years, first making add-ons for the widely popular video game, The Sims. In 2004, she founded another company called Atomic Cupcake, where she built actions for Photoshop and digital scrapbooking.

Over the past nine years, the Women’s Tech Council (WTC) has recognized 155 Utah women for their accomplishments in driving innovation, leading technology companies and building the state’s technology community, including 23 college students. WTC has also sponsored over 500 high school students to attend the awards, helping to inspire the next generation of STEM-focused students. Finalists for this year’s Women in Tech Awards were selected by a judging panel of key members from the technology community.
