Check out our interview with her on her hobbies, her story, wellness advice and favorite brands.
Let’s start off with an easy one: Where are you from?
I am from Buford, Georgia which is right outside of Atlanta.
What do you do for a living?
I am the Assistant Store Manager for The Vitamin Shoppe.
What got you started in the health and wellness space?
When I was 22 I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which causes cysts on the ovaries. With that comes quite a few health issues such as unwanted weight gain, difficulty losing weight, and fertility issues. I saw two different doctors over the years and the only solution they had for me was to “get on birth control” – I knew there had to be a better way. I began researching supplementation and natural medicine as a way to combat the health issues I was experiencing. Over the last 3 years, through supplements and proper diet geared towards women with PCOS, I have been able to significantly improve my overall health and well-being. My experience has truly inspired me to not only continue on my journey, but help others in need as well.
That’s really inspiring! What is the most common question you get regarding natural health and wellness?
The most common question I get regarding natural health and wellness is, “Is this going to work for me?”, which has to be one of the most difficult questions anyone could ask. I always want to tell them, yes, but in reality, it is difficult to tell. My response has always been, “Everyone’s body is different, and everyone’s metabolism works differently as well. Some remedies may work for you, but not for others, or vice versa.” I always recommend to anyone trying something new to give it 3-6 weeks of consistent use and if you aren’t seeing the results you are looking for, move on to the next until you find what works for you and your body.
What are some supplements you take and always recommend to others?
Solaray Liposomal Multivitamin: I always have this in my cabinet. Every vitamin, mineral and herb is in Liposomal form, which makes it great for those who may have trouble absorbing vitamins.
Ashwagandha: I’m currently taking the KSM-66 form. That particular form has the highest concentration of withanolides on the market. It has personally helped with regulating my cortisol levels, which causes the brain’s stress response.
Enzymedica Digest Gold with ATPro: I carry this one everywhere with me. I take one with my meals when I can’t avoid eating red meat or dairy products, and I can personally feel the difference in how my body processes foods.

What is your favorite wellness brand on ExpertVoice right now, and why?
If I really had to choose, I would say my all-time favorite wellness brand would be MegaFood – their supplements are truly exceptional. They have many great certifications that I look for in a brand such as NSF Certified, USDA Organic, Non-GMO, and they’re also B-Corp Certified. The potencies of their products are excellent and they are a brand I recommend to many customers that shop with me.
Lastly, what is your favorite part about being in the health and wellness space?
My favorite part is the people I interact with each day. You meet people from all walks of life, whether they are veterans of the supplement world or just starting out and don’t know where to turn. Getting to help improve someone’s life holds a special place in my heart and helps me continue to do what I do every day.
