There is no better time than now to hear some good news. There is also a no better time to act and serve the community. We have been hearing about the many ways our experts serve their communities. Brands have also been doing the same. Tough times like this really bring out the good in individuals and organizations. Check out what some of our brands have been doing to help.

There are many hospitals and other facilities that are experiencing shortages when it comes to personal protective equipment (PPE), especially when it comes to face masks. That’s why OR is converting its Seattle manufacturing facility to produce over 200,000 masks per day
Based out of Chicago, IL, Grand Trunk set up a GoFundMe to raise funds to help produce masks for hospitals in the Chicago area. Every dollar goes to their manufacturing partners that are pivoting to mask-production to help during this time. For every $1,000 raised, Grand Trunk will order 500 masks. If you’re interested in helping out, check out their fundraising page.
Many healthcare professionals are now on the frontline of this situation and they are spending countless hours on their feet. To help out, Crocs has pledged to donate up to 20,000 pairs of shoes a day to healthcare workers. To receive one is as simple as sending a request here. If you know a doctor, a nurse or anyone in the field that could use a pair, send them over to Crocs.
As stores close to help stop the spread of COVID-19, many retail employees face uncertainty when it comes to employment and financial situations. To help, Columbia CEO, Tim Boyle reduced his salary to $10,000 to ensure that retail employees will not see any change in their circumstances. Joining him are at least 10 other top Columbia executives who have voluntarily cut their pay by 15%.
Small businesses are being hit especially hard by the recent economic downturn. To provide relief, Phunkshun Wear is donating $1 to small businesses for every product sold between March 25 and April 10. You too can contribute by visiting local businesses online, ordering takeout or supporting the Phunkshun Wear cause
Suspending their local warranty and repair operations, Osprey has turned that operation into a face mask-producing facility. Their goal is to produce 100 masks a day and provide them to local healthcare workers and frontline responders in Cortez, CO. Osprey is coordinating with the Governor’s office and will continue to help where they can.

But they realized that they could do more. So MYSTERY RANCH transformed their sewing floor into a mask production floor, producing over 500 masks for local hospitals. If you’ve got your own sewing machine, you can also contribute by making your own. Learn more about it here.

On a local and personal level, here’s some good news from my local community, Provo, UT. Our local police department needed protective masks for its officers and reached out to social media looking for people with 3D printers. In a matter of four days, the locals had printed over 900 printed masks and donated them to the police.

That’s just a handful of good news about how people and brands are helping right now. As the situation develops, we will most likely hear more heartwarming stories and efforts.
