2020 in Review: The Advocacy Platform

We can all agree 2020 was a bit of a blur, so in case you missed it, here are the top five updates to the Advocacy Platform last year.

#1. New Curate App released

The Curate app allows you to manage your expert reviews inside ExpertVoice, identify the most impactful reviews, and syndicate them to your e-commerce pages via a Recommendation Display. If you need or would like access to this app, please contact your Account Executive or Customer Success Manager. Learn more here.

Automation Setting

The Automation setting within the Curate App allows you to automate the syndication of expert reviews that meet certain criteria to your brand’s e-commerce pages. You can define rules for the types of reviews you would like to “auto-approve” based on Quality Score, the Likelihood to Recommend, Attributes, and/or Sort Order. Brand Page Management

Manage the look and feel of your brand page on ExpertVoice. Add your logo, banner image, and description to help experts identify your brand. Learn more here.

Search Phrases

List specific keywords or phrases to help experts find your brand on ExpertVoice. When an expert searches for something, your brand could be eligible to appear in the main search results based on the keywords or phrases you save here.

Privacy Settings

Customize and select which professional organizations and retailers you’d like to share your brand’s expert engagement data with. Sharing your data with approved partners and retailers provides transparency about the experts using our platform to learn about your brand and recommend your products and may help partners and retailers identify opportunities to encourage their communities of experts to engage with your brand. #3. New tools added to the Learn App

Brand Video Library

Every brand now has the ability to create a collection of topical videos featuring your latest product and brand information. The content in this library is open to all experts on ExpertVoice. Experts do not unlock Edu-Games or incentives for viewing the content in this library. Learn more here.

Rewarded Learning Library

Self-service brands can now manage a collection of learning modules that feature their latest educational content. Experts who successfully complete the full library can unlock a reward, such as an additional discount. Only experts in the self-service brand's selected audience will have access to this library and its rewards.

#4. New Advocacy Platform Homepage

The new Advocacy Platform homepage collects your brand's most recent expert activity on ExpertVoice and summarizes it in one convenient place.

  • Your homepage includes an Executive Summary – a snapshot of your brand's recent target expert activity in the past 30 days and past 12 months.
  • You can also view Expert Generated Content – the most recent product recommendations and photos published by experts about your brand.

#5. New reports added to the Analytics App

Search Term Frequency Report

A new report showing a 12-month summary of what search terms experts use to discover your brand and products on ExpertVoice. Learn more here.

Recommendations Over Time Report

A new report in the Analytics App displays the total number of unique experts recommending your products and the total number of product recommendations published over time on ExpertVoice. Learn more here.

Looking ahead in 2021

Thanks for being a part of ExpertVoice in 2020. We look forward to sharing more exciting product news and releases with you throughout 2021. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at what's to come:

  • Expanded offerings to the E-Commerce Advocacy Solution: Including syndicating recommendations through Bazaarvoice and the ability to collect recommendations for redirect stores.
  • Product Launch Campaigns: New tools to collect expert-generated content (photos and expert reviews) for specific products. Beta participants have already recruited experts via a custom application, seeded products, and will soon collect expert-generated content to support their product launches and gain other product insights.
  • Brand Communities: A new way for brands and experts to connect on a deeper level. Beta participants are currently testing tools within the Advocacy Platform to build exclusive communities of experts that they can treat differently or engage in traditional ambassador programs.
